Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts artist who is a part of UFC. UFC for the Flyweight Division, is a Kyrgyzstani. She is also the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion as well as fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina kept her winning streak going by getting bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011, along with the title of year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia was a professional who started her professional career at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and 2016, the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. The WMC World Championships also held in 2016 and she took home the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002, when she faced Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious via TKO in round two and her two subsequent matches were held during the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on boxing. She made her return with a win against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote. She then went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. Antonina's UFC contract was extended after this win. Antonina was given a UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi via an undisputed split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss and fought Lucie Prudilova's battle at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a back naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of night for that bout. Shevchenko lost 1-2 over the next three fights she lost to Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
