Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, provides simple techniques that any person can master. Chef Burrell was employed for a time in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary practices and the geography. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her following her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduation, chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. She gained a deeper understanding of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy and this has affected the way she cooks. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids who have challenges. as a speaker, guest and teacher Burrell travels throughout the US to talk about her culinary passion and professional career. Anne has said throughout her culinary career that she feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to be able to share what's most important for her.
